Old School Loves Graphite

In this digital medium age were kids know how to use photoshop but don't know cursive and have never had a pen pale it is refreshing to have someone come in and get a paper and pencil tattoo. He brought in his own design and I cleaned it up as well as made it slightly different while keeping his original idea intact. Just saying to all you young kids out there....see pencils and paper can be cool it doesn't always have to involve a computer. I encourage u to enjoy this tattoo and write someone a letter or better yet lets bring back wax stamped sealed letters like the olden days!

Space the Final Frontier

Space the final frontier for......sharks? I think so! Randomly I was wearing a shirt with a space shark on it. A customer was in watching his girlfriend getting tattooed and he was looking for some ideas for a tattoo. He says to me, "That shirt is awesome I should get that tattooed!" I told him lets do it and that he should come back tomorrow. Low and behold he shows up and we rock out this space shark! I'm not sure the artist of the original shirt design but I would love to give him his due for the rad design I got to tattoo. If any of you out there want some weird animals in crazy situations just get at me with an email! Until next time cats and kittens.

A Family Of Radical!

Damion and Anna came in recently to the shop and with them they brought some super radicial ideas! Anna wanted a cute girly skull with with a bow and big eyes. This drawing came together pretty quick and was incredibly fun! Damion had a twins TC logo in mind and wanted to incorporate some paisley in one way or another. After a few ideas and drawing I came up with a big paisley with the logo and some other leafy stuff in the back round for that paisley effect. All in all I loved these tattoos and the people who got them! I will post healed pics eventually and post their next kick butt ideas!

 Cute girly skull on Anna!
(can't really see how Hot the bones are!)

Sweet paisley Twins logo on Damion!

Lions and Tigers and.....Well Just a Lion.

This is a Lion I did on a dude named brent. It was a fun piece and one of my first realistic anythings I've done in awhile. Here is a healed and non-healed photo. Still some more back round to add and a half an ear on the right side. Always growing and learning. Look forward to doing more realism and more animals! Keep checking back for more updates! High gear here we come!

Non Healed.

Too Long.......

It has been far to long since I posted or wrote on my beloved blog. I've been out and about, golfing (yes I golf), fishing, drawing, tattooing, and mostly just being swamped with my various endeavours. Look for more drawing and tattoos to be posted relatively shortly. Also typing this right now my fingers are moving like brittle twigs on the keyboard, so some typing couldn't hurt but probably will help my lowly computer abilities. well with out further rambling or hoopla......

Jose brought in a friend and she had drawn this heart, one of the last few tattoos I did in Chicago.

Fun Rosary tattoo I did.

Weird cat my buddy got. Loved doing it!

Kat brought her work friend for her first tattoo.

A Wise Man Said Epiphany

Well I'm a little late on my new years post and being able to mention Christmas seems out of the question. I was in a hibernation for these holidays if you were wondering. Doing what you might ask? Building steam, a new outlook, a new plan, and a drive (unparallelled in my life) for this year! Like so many of the people I look up to and respect who would say, "Turn it to ELEVEN!" I'm doing just that with all the conviction and fervor I posses. My 2010 was lukewarm at the best of times and much of this was due to a lack of EPIC on my part. Get off the sideline and make some magic happen I keep saying to myself.....Why? because I have the ability to. Why? because it's long overdue. Why? because it is 2011 (Remember earlier? yeah 11) I'm not sure that these folks will deem me 11 worthy but that's why my deep down deep inner me says I don't need approval, I don't need to say it, just be it! Enough wasting time, Enough of the same routine, Enough of worrying! Drawings, Paintings, Tattoos, Cakes, ART, Love, Life, Challenge, Accomplishment, and Everything in between is on tap for this most magic of years in my life. I thought about trying to duplicate an insurmountable feet by summing up an entire year in one blog entry but I'll leave that to the professional who made you believe it could be done. Basically I could not be more excited for this year to begin. There are signs all over, like correcting a grammatical wizard on his grammar; a visit to see my family, which is long overdue, and some others as well. Typing isn't my strong suit so I'll leave you with this "Being here is better than wishing we'd stayed" a quote from Dark Dark Dark. Lets not look back to the past and enjoy this Epic year!
