Black and Grey Rose

Yup I've done it, done what many people hate...a rose with out an outline. This was the first realistic rose I've ever done. I had fun doing it and realized some of the challenges that come with trying to build contrast without hard black lines framing it in. The young lady who got this sat very well for me and I appreciate the opportunity to try new things that aren't in my normal cartoony style. Look for more posts in the future and I promise to be more diligent in updating my blog.

Hodgepodge of Tattoos

This crazy cat from Boston came in and wanted some eyeballs and skulls to fill in the areas around some older existing tattoos. Who doesn't love doing eye tattoos? am I right? of course because I can't hear your answers back. Hopefully I will get a pic and maybe add some more blacks for contrast but none the less a fun little tattoo. Sorry about all the redness in the white high lights.

I'm sure many of you out there know how this goes, when the holidays come around everyone wants a tattoo from you instead of a Christmas present. My sister is no exception so after lots of "when are we doing it?" I finally told her we will do it. Some time before Christmas we did a foot print of my adorable nephew PJ and his name.

This is a month or so old and I wanted to post it back then but I've been very complacent. Yes I can admit that to you folks. Its his home state of Illinois with the Mexican flag inside. A damn fun one and I even did all the little tiny magic that accompanies the eagle.
